Cor-ten, also known as Weathering Steel, is a high-strength, low-alloy, weldable structural steel possessing excellent weathering resistance. What makes it unique is its ability to protect itself: when exposed to the atmosphere, it forms a stable, rust-like appearance - a protective oxide coating that shields the steel from further corrosion. This natural "weathering" process not only improves the steel's durability but also gives it a distinctive, attractive dark brown finish.

What's more, if the coating is ever chipped or damaged, the material self-repairs, ensuring continuous protection and appearance.

Weathering Steel is particularly valuable in applications where high strength is needed but maintenance is difficult or costly.
