COR-TEN has served as weathering steel(atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel). .it will develop a beautifully brown layer of rust when exposed to the weather.The weathering rust actually performs as a protective coating providing greater resistance to corrosion compared to other steels. It will be almost fully rusted when it arrives but will take another 2-4 months to completely cure.
This magnificent water wall feature is fully self-contained and manufactured from Corten steel, which provides it with its spectacular unique appearance. As water flows gracefully down both sides of the feature the Corten steel reacts to create a layer of rust, thereby oxidising the surface to provide weatherproof and corrosion-resistant qualities as well as a striking rustic aesthetic.
